Intensive Outpatient Program
Home / Intensive Outpatient Program
Working through a 12 step model is an important component of getting drug and alcohol addiction under control. While many people who struggle with the disease of addiction believe that they will need to give up their freedom to live in a treatment center, Northstars Intensive Outpatient Program in Pompano Beach, Florida allows individuals to get the support and guidance that they need while maintaining a high level of independence. Clients are therefore able to live in the comfort of their own homes while receiving intensive therapy that depends upon 12 steps in order to guide and assess the progress of each individual.
Intensive treatment includes holistic therapy sessions in an individual, group, and family setting. An intensive outpatient program (IOP) schedule is customized for each individual patient in order to ensure that the schedule works with the patients daily life in a way that allows the individual to simultaneously participate in the addiction treatment program and keep a focus on community service. It is important to Northstar IOP that clients feel that they have freedom and independence while they are undergoing outpatient treatment. This feeling of independence often makes the difference when it comes to successful completion of the treatment program.
Assessments are made on a routine basis to determine whether an individual is progressing as expected. Clients work closely with their therapists to come up with an action plan if progress is not being achieved, and constant encouragement helps clients work through the transitions occurring during each step of their recovery. The intensive outpatient care program helps clients learn life skills that can be used to benefit the physical, mental, and spiritual health of the individual.
